This year’s Wings Over Gatineau-Ottawa en vol air show will take place 15-16 September 2012!

Last year, over 22,000 visitors came out and enjoyed a wonderful weekend of air demonstrations, static aircraft and fun. This year, we are expanding our programming and expect over 30,000 people to attend.

2012 marks the 70th anniversary of many of the major air and land battles in and around the Mediterranean Sea during the Second World War. Many pivotal events set the stage for the beginning of the end of Nazi and Italian attempts to dominate the region—the Battles of El Alamein, Tobruk, the Siege of Malta and the massive Allied amphibious assault on North Africa called “Operation Torch.”

As such, our air show theme this year is Warbirds of the Med, commemorating the forgotten WWII battles of the Mediterranean and North Africa.

Come out and enjoy the premiere air show event of the Gatineau-Ottawa region!
