Vintage Wings of Canada in conjunction with our Presenting Sponsor, CAE, bring the Wings over Gatineau Airshow back to the skies over the Gatineau Executive Airport this June. Come and experience an exciting day of flying and commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Enjoy the thrilling and thundering RCAF CF-18 Hornet demonstration and the world famous CAF Snowbirds 431 Air Demonstration Squadron performance.
This years’s show will have plenty for the fans of big old radial engines as well! At the hands of Vintage Wings own Paul Kissmann, our FG-1D Corsair will be doing an aerobatic performance for the crowd. Rob Erdos, also of Vintage Wings, will be putting our MkIV Harvard into the air for a smokey aerobatic show along with Rick Volker, who will be putting his own 1952 Harvard Mk IV through it’s aerobatic paces for your pleasure. If the two Harvards happen to join up for something special… don’t be surprised!
The duo of Dan Fortin and Mario Hamel of Yak Attack will thrill the crowd with their aerobatics in their CJ6 Nanchang and Yak 52. Martin Hivon will corkscrew his Christen Eagle II through the skies and leave you scratching your head as to how he does it!
We’re working on other performers for the show and as they are confirmed, they will be added to the list. There will also be plenty of other aircraft on static display, both military and civilian, for you to explore as well… the list is growing every day. Check back regularly for more details!
